Screencraft was proud to produce "Stronger together: 50 years of Defence cooperation", a one-hour documentary that highlights important projects from Australia’s Defence Cooperation Program (DCP) with our Pacific partners.

We visit Tonga, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu, and interview pacific royalty, military officers, and people working together on projects that aim to keep the region secure, equip and train leaders, and help each other during times of crisis.

We’ll learn about the rebuilding of a school in Fiji after a cyclone, and about the installation of a National Emergency Radio Network in Vanuatu, which will be a game-changer when it comes to disaster response. We’ll go to the Solomon Islands where a new initiative is set to greatly aid the safe recovery and disposal of unexploded ordnance. In PNG we’ll talk to a new generation of aviators receiving world-class training. We’ll also learn about how Guardian class Patrol Boats are helping Tonga patrol its waters.

The Pacific is vibrant and diverse, full of culture and community. Maintaining relationships, safety, security and infrastructure across the region is vital. Over the past 50 years the DCP has enabled Pacific partners to respond to shared challenges together.
